Getting Ready For The Midwest

We are leaving for Indiana in a few days. I really like to shoot photos there because of the many mundane and man made environments like this photo of a mall. It's a silver gelatin print. I take my olympus XA because it's very small with a good lens. My paintings are greatly influenced by the mid west landscape and the man made shapes looming up from the horizon. Having lived in California and Maine, I include these shapes and forms in my coastal paintings. In both my photos and paintings I'm thinking of mans influence on nature. The painting is titled Black Ice and is oil on canvas.
